Here's what we've been up to lately

We have been converting one of our spare rooms into the nursery. The ceiling is plaster that had been papered and we had to scrape the paper off first, in the photo you can see we couldn't get all of it down. Once we started painting the rest of the paper started falling off the ceiling. At least we were able to get the rest of the paper off, but then we had to repaint the whole ceiling again. It was definitely an adventure.
The floor was is a fine partical board that had a lot of water stains on it so we painted that too. That was easy and basically painless.
Here is what it looked like before we started.

This is what we've done so far.

I was going to paint the walls but I haven't decided what color yet, so for now they will stay the dark panelling since I doubt that I will get it done before the baby is born. I'm due in nine days.

I'm sure the new baby will be very happy in the new room. Looks great and you have done a good job. Let us know when the baby gets here. Good luck with everything. I have a 20 yr old daughter and a soon to be 3 yr old. 12 yr old step daughter. I'm in a house full of girls. lol

Thanks for stopping at my blog. Come again!

Your room looks good. If you hurry maybe you could knock down a wall or something before the baby arrive.:))
